17 year old girls have to take on abusive male peers without any understanding from school

This brings tears to my eyes: high school girls (not even adults) have to fight to be treated like human beings at their school. http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/mortarboard/2013/jun/20/why-i-started-a-feminist-society It is one thing (and a huge thing) that adult feminist experience major backlash when speaking up, but it is another when girls who are yet to find out who they are and who should be happily exploring their sexuality have to take on their male peers in the same battle. Furthermore, their school has sided with the boys, telling the girls to stop their feminist campaign (and therefore basically to ‘shut up and take it’ from the boys who are pressuring them to have sex a.o.).
